Full bodied with velvety tannins. Good depth and intensity. Rich but balanced. Wet stone finish. Great vintage, great region, great big bowlful of black cherry Horse Heaven Hills goodness. The style at Gilbert has shifted over the years. What began as massive, burly, tannic beasts has evolved toward more youthfully approachable food wines.
