This splits the ripple vote a bit since demons dont synergize with the rats at all, but Shadowborn Apostle builds will want this card and thats good enough for some extra demand if people dont have the deck built yet

Theres great mana fixing to make decks better, and there are powerful cards that can be played in multiple formats

If every Ink type had access to some sort of additional Ink, the gap could potentially close a little and make Ruby/Sapphire less of an overwhelmingly strong deck

This is also just the style of Magic I like to play: creature combat combined with incidental card advantage and leveraging tempo plays

Trust me when I say Commune with the Gods has never had it so good as it does in Eternal Masters
