Seelie Pull Appliance pulls The Batlló Butterfly is partThe Seelie pull is designed and made by the Los Angeles artist Antonia Pinter, one half of the duo A History of Frogs. With these hardware pieces, Pinter summons goblin elegance, embracing the imperfection that gives objects life and energy. Each is hand sculpted in wax, using a combined technique of carving and melting to achieve an idiosyncratic texture. The pieces are then sand cast in solid aluminum or bronze, and finished by hand in the studio.
