Its just that, if youre an aggressive deck with Gray Merchant, your opponent has a clear path to beating you (they kill all your creatures), whereas if youre more of a hybrid deck, suddenly one-for-oneing you over and over is not a winning strategy anymore, so if they play to beat Gray Merchant theyll lose to the rest of your deck
