It forms very deep roots, so once established is exceptionally drought tolerant. Through the summer the broad, mounding plant is covered with upright, wide, funnel shaped pink blooms that open in the afternoon sun. Fleshy, grey green, spade shaped leaves provide an attractive foil to the showy flowers. Perennial; mature
