1930s Ganado Red material_sugilite and Rhodochrosite on a JetAntique Navajo (circa 1930s) Ganado Red Weaving. This is one of the largest weavings weve ever had at Garlands. This piece was hand woven by Navajo weaver, Julia Joe. Julia was very well known in her time and Lorenzo Hubbell commissioned many weavings with her. She was active in the early 20th century and is known to have woven some of the largest Navajo weavings ever created. Julias husband, Sam Joe, would construct custom looms to accommodate the
