This would have been used with the 4cyl gear set that had the raised lip on it to accommodate oddly-shaped 4cyl gears that didn't have a completely flat surface that mounted up to the shoulder of the shaft

This would have been found in the early Hydro-Mechanical Shift Stringers from 1978-1980 because the housing didn't have any of the shift switches like the later models had

Not sure if these are oversized all i have is the cast # on piston Let me know if you need a measurement

Technically this traces back to MerCruiser 140hp 3. 0L 4cyl Carburetor 1351 5203A1 produced in 1973 Listing this FOR PARTS OR NOT WORKING It seems to all be here, but it would probably need to be thoroughly cleaned or rebuilt.
