There are wedge-shaped insets of matching (original) fabric at either side of the bodice These may be part of the original design, or may have been inserted at some point in the distant past to accommodate a larger bust They could easily be removed and the seam sewn shut to make the dress 4"/10cm smaller at the bust, tapering toward the natural waist This dress presents beautifully It's a stunner.
