You dont want to feed a high-value card to your Ashnod's Altar or Deadly Dispute, but a cheap creature that already gave you value via an enters effect like Fell Gravship or Dusk Legion Zealot

The idea was brilliant: give every card in a set a collectible version, not just the Rares

But drawing a creature card whenever another one of your nontoken dies is very strong, and I expect it to see some Standard play, as well as to be a staple in EDH spider decks
